'I could have been one of them'

The CEO of the oil services company Petrofac, Ayman Asfari, who was born in Syria says that if he had not left the country he could have become one of the thousands who have sought new lives overseas.

The UN estimates that around half of Syria's population has been displaced by the civil war which has raged since 2011.

Mr Asfari has been involved in behind the scenes efforts to try to end the war which has claimed over 220,000 lives.

Stephen Sackur talks to one of the world's wealthiest Syrians - Ayman Asfari. He has lobbied for an international intervention in his homeland, but what would that look like?
